Understanding behaviour in neurodiversity is so much more than people think.

It's an entire shift in mindset.

As a mum with ADHD and a parent of neurodivergent children, I understand the challenges families face firsthand; a broken SEND system, the balancing act of getting your child out the door on time, remembering the never ending school comms, the homework battles and the challenging behaviour that can zap all the fun out of family life... trust me, I've been there.

But, I promise you are not alone!

With over 20 years of experience of Special Education Needs & Disability (SEND), neurodiversity and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) across education, social care, and the private sector, I have worked with 100's of neurodivergent families and educational settings, who have struggled with their neurodivergent child's unmet needs and challenging behaviour.

Through helping you to understand the fundamentals of what it means to be neurodivergent, and how our bodies react when we are feeling emotionally out of balance or unsafe in our surroundings, I will share with you how simple it can be to bring about calm and control, with a little bit of knowledge and a shift in mindset.

Thank you so much for sharing this information, everybody needs to hear you talk!

ADHD PARENT & PROFESSIONAL

The 'work, life, neurodivergent' balance.

Introducing Maisie Cass.

From a young age Maisie had an innate feeling of wanting to ensure other people had what they required to feel happy and safe. Along with the entrepreneurial spirit that she gained from her parents, and growing up in an 'unorthodox' family environment - which today we now know is simply a neurodivergent household - Maisie was always destined to find a path to share her wisdom and passion for equity, diversity and acceptance within our world.

As her curiosity for understanding the neurodivergent brain grew, particularly around autism and ADHD, Maisie embarked on a journey to understand how these minds function at their best. With over 20 years of experience in education and social care, she witnessed firsthand how neurodivergent individuals often face unique challenges, leading to disengagement, isolation, and behavioural struggles.

Now, with a neurodivergent family of her own, Maisie blends her personal and professional insights to help others understand the complex interplay between behaviour, communication, and the physiological impacts of neurodivergence.

Through teaching empathy, compassion, and a shift in mindset, she believes these challenges can be overcome, creating a more inclusive and supportive world for all.

The key is to own your ADHD and to stop trying to please others...

Those of us with ADHD have a sensitive heart, a creative mind and incredible energy. We have the power to lead our generation to do things in a better way
