Introducing Maisie Cass.
The truth is, you can't separate work from life - especially when you're raising a neurodivergent child while navigating the demands of a professional role. Maisie has lived the tension between needing to show up as a calm, capable leader at work while carrying the invisible weight of sleepless nights, EHCP battles, and the constant emotional labour that comes with parenting differently wired children. Maisie knows what it feels like to be committed to your career and to be the lifeline for a child whose needs often don’t fit the system. And she knows she's not alone. That's why Maisie doesn't talk about “work–life balance” as a fluffy ideal. Maisie speaks about it as a structural, cultural, and human necessity
As her curiosity for understanding the neurodivergent brain grew, particularly around autism and ADHD, Maisie embarked on a journey to understand how these minds function at their best. With over 20 years of experience in education, social care and business, she witnessed firsthand how neurodivergent individuals often face unique challenges, leading to disengagement, isolation, and behavioural struggles.
So, when we talk about neuroinclusion in the workplace, we have to go beyond policies and tick boxes. We need to acknowledge the real-life context our people are navigating - not just as employees, but as caregivers, parents, and whole human beings. That’s what Maisie brings to the stage: a lens that combines evidence with empathy, strategy with humanity. Maisie helps organisations see the fuller picture - because when we design workplaces that support the whole person, everyone benefits.
