Neurodiversity in Conversation

A confident, holistic and supportive starting point

for neurodiversity in the workplace

The perfect start to building shared understanding, confidence and compassion.

Neurodiversity in Conversation is a gentle but powerful starting point for organisations who want to do more — but aren’t always sure where to begin. Whether you’re opening the conversation for the first time, or returning to it with fresh intention, this session creates space for people to listen, reflect, and feel seen.

There are no expectations placed on your team beyond showing up and engaging. No pressure to disclose. No corporate scripts. Just a human, accessible conversation that signals something important: we care about our people, and we’re committed to understanding them better.

Neurodiversity in Conversation works particularly well during key awareness moments such as Neurodiversity Celebration Week (March), Autism Acceptance Month (April) and ADHD Awareness Month (October) — but it’s just as valuable at any point in the year. Many organisations choose to align it with internal wellbeing days, people strategies, leadership development or wider business milestones.

What’s covered in the

Neurodiversity in CONVERSATION session

A warm, inclusive 60 minute lunch & learn designed to help organisations open up meaningful conversations about neurodiversity at work — in a way that feels human, respectful, and psychologically safe.

What neurodiversity means in everyday working life,

Including a broad range of neurodivergent profiles (such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and more), and why some are more visible in workplace conversations than others.

Common myths and misunderstandings,

including phrases such as “we’re all a bit autistic” — why these ideas are so common, how they can unintentionally minimise lived experience, and more respectful ways to talk about difference.

Neurodivergent thinking and cognitive strengths,

highlighting why diverse ways of thinking are valuable not only to organisations, but to society as a whole.

When unmet needs show up at work,

exploring how stress, disengagement, conflict, or burnout can be signals of misalignment rather than individual failure

— and how teams can respond early and supportively.

Neurodivergent families in the workforce,

recognising employees who are parenting or caring for neurodivergent children, the strengths they often bring, and the realities they may be navigating outside of work.

A changing landscape,

offering a balanced perspective on increased identification and referrals, reframed as improved understanding and access rather than a “trend”.

Why neuroinclusive approaches make sense,

touching lightly on wellbeing, retention, performance, and long-term sustainability.

The session supports a shared, organisation-wide approach to neurodiversity, where inclusion is everyone’s responsibility

- not just HR or leadership.

What you will walk away with

Participants leave with a clear, memorable framework they can apply immediately:

  • Curiosity – noticing difference without judgement

  • Courage – having early, compassionate conversations

  • Confidence – understanding that you don’t need to be an expert to be supportive

Participants leave feeling:

  • Feeling seen and heard within their own neurodiverse journey

  • More confident having inclusive conversations at work

  • Better informed, without information overload

  • Reassured that inclusion is about people, not perfection

  • Encouraged to take small, meaningful steps within their role

No prior neurodiversity knowledge is required - just a willingness to look at systems, culture and leadership through a more human lens.

Why organisations choose this session

Delivered personally by Maisie Cass, neurodiversity specialist, speaker and consultant, this session combines:

  • professional expertise with lived experience

  • a calm, grounded and trauma-informed approach

  • strategic insight without corporate jargon

  • practical tools rather than theoretical models

This training doesn’t ask organisations to do more - it helps them do things differently, with greater clarity and confidence.

You were not what we were expecting

- in the best possible way!

A note on next steps...

While Neurodiversity in Conversation stands alone as a valuable and complete session, it can also act as a strong foundation for organisations who wish to build on this conversation over time — including leadership and organisation-focused neurodiversity support.

Many teams choose to build on this work through:

  • delivery of the Neurodiversity in Business half-day session

  • implementation support

  • system and process reviews

  • leadership coaching or consultancy

  • periodic check-ins to refine and sustain progress

There’s no expectation - just the option to move from insight into embedded, long-term change with the right support alongside you.

A final note

This session is often booked by organisations who want to get neurodiversity right - not because there’s a problem, but because there doesn’t need to be one.

If that sounds like your organisation, you’re very welcome to get in touch.
